James Henry BROWN was the son of James BROWN (1816-1886) and Catherine CRAWFORD (1824-1892). James BROWN senior was one of only two survivors of the Faithful Massacre near Benalla in 1837. James BROWN senior is buried alone in an unmarked grave at Beechworth Cemetery. Strangers Section A plot 75 - probably as a pauper. Benalla Family Research Group hold records & certificates relating to this family.
